Launching New Product with a Personalized eCommerce Experience



The Backstory

As the Lead UX Designer for the Ninja Thirsti new product launch, I spearheaded the execution of innovative design strategies, collaborating with two supporting designers under my guidance. Together, we redefined the user experience by introducing a product chooser tailored to Thirsti customers' needs, delivering a streamlined and personalized experience. Our work supported a subscription model while ensuring seamless integration into Ninja’s existing infrastructure.

  • Team Leadership: Managed and mentored two supporting designers, worked with partnered agencies, and internal design partners at Ninja ensuring cohesive and impactful design execution aligned with project goals.

  • Product Innovation: Developed a product chooser based on a defined set of variables, enabling customers to identify and customize products that best suited their preferences and needs.

  • Subscription Model Support: Designed experiences that aligned with a new subscription model, enhancing customer retention and lifecycle value.

  • Journey Mapping: Crafted detailed user journeys and flows to visualize and integrate new features into Ninja’s existing infrastructure effectively.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partnered with multiple stakeholders, including engineering, marketing, and operations teams, to align on business goals and technical feasibility.

  • Brand Team Partnership: Collaborated closely with the brand team as they underwent a large-scale branding effort to ensure consistency and cohesion across the new product release.
